The Nokian Tyres Surpass AS01 is a cutting-edge performance 3-season tire designed to deliver exceptional grip, handling, responsive braking, and stability. Built for durability, this tire is engineered to exceed your expectations of what a performance tire can achieve. The Silica Sense Tread Compound in the Surpass AS01 contains Nokian Tyres’ highest-ever proportion of silica, which improves wet and dry handling, enhances longevity, and reduces rolling resistance.
A standout feature is the Aramid Strong Sidewalls, which mechanically reinforce the tire, providing ultimate peace of mind for drivers. This is a debut feature for Nokian Tyres’ performance lineup. Additionally, the tire incorporates increased recycled or renewable materials, leading the industry towards a more sustainable future.
Nokian Tyres recommends this tire for hybrid and electric vehicles (EVs). High-quality tires are essential for maximizing the performance of powerful electric vehicles. The added weight of battery packs in EVs and hybrids makes them heavier and slower to stop than traditional combustion engine cars. Nokian Tyres products are designed to provide extra grip to compensate for this added weight while maximizing the driving range of EVs and hybrids. By minimizing rolling resistance, these tires decrease the amount of energy needed for each journey, allowing your EV to go further on a single charge while minimizing its environmental footprint.
Kal's Customer Care Plan

Kal's Test Results
? Independent & Objective Testing
? Summer vs Winter Tests
BRAKING
We varied our approach speeds by driving surface and by season for two reasons. First, this represents how most Canadians would normally drive on that surface in each season. Second, testing in both seasons provides an indication of how a tire's performance will be affected by road temperature.
CORNERING
To understand how road surface temperatures affect the cornering performance of a tire, our cornering tests are completed in both summer conditions (dry and wet pavement) and winter conditions (dry, wet and icy pavement).
? Independent & Objective Testing
The independent tire testers conducted extensive tests to determine how the tires in our core line-up perform in a range of conditions in both summer and winter. To maintain neutrality, no driver knew the specifics of the tires they were testing each time. All results were analyzed and processed by the testing group and then provided to Kal Tire for sharing with our customers.
