One look at the Nitto Invo’s radical asymmetric tread design, and you can tell this isn’t your average tire. This ultra-high performance tire is designed with the simple goal of coaxing the true potential from your luxury sports car. It features a silica-reinforced tread compound that enhances grip, handling and braking by reducing tread flex. In addition to improving handling on wet surfaces, the Invo’s innovative 3D sipes feature an interlocking ripple design, allowing them to lock together into a solid block. The result is enhanced braking and acceleration. Further improving wet performance are a pair of circumferential grooves that effectively channel water away from tread path. A continuous centre rib ensures constant contact with the road surface for added stability. Given this advanced technology, it’s easy to see why the Nitto Invo received top marks across the board in our independent tire testing for wet and dry conditions, as well as for road noise, hydroplaning and rolling resistance.

?Summer vs Winter Tests

BRAKING

We varied our approach speeds by driving surface and by season for two reasons. First, this represents how most Canadians would normally drive on that surface in each season. Second, testing in both seasons provides an indication of how a tire's performance will be affected by road temperature.

CORNERING

To understand how road surface temperatures affect the cornering performance of a tire, our cornering tests are completed in both summer conditions (dry and wet pavement, and gravel roads) and winter conditions (dry, wet and icy pavement). Please note that slush is also tested but completed in a specific slush cornering test..

?Independent & Objective Testing

The independent tire testers conducted extensive tests to determine how the tires in our core line-up perform in a range of conditions in both summer and winter. To maintain neutrality, no driver knew the specifics of the tires they were testing each time. All results were analyzed and processed by the testing group and then provided to Kal Tire for sharing with our customers.
