Oil Change while driving across Canada.

After having driven from Ottawa to Vancouver and now heading back home it was 10,000kms since my last oil change. Being a KalTire customer (in Osgoode) I saw that there was a KalTire in Creston where we were camping for one night before continuing our journey. I called first thing Monday morning and the store manager fit me in even without his regular mechanic who had to attend a funeral. Thanks Creston KalTire

The amazing staff at Kal Tire in Creston went well above my service expectations. Trustworthy, honest, efficient, amazing work- basically everything you want in a shop. This was for tire service and mechanical. I had been quoted for $1500 in unnecessary work from a different shop- the mechanic at Kal Tire in Creston closely examined my car and concluded that the work wasn’t needed. Thanks for saving me $1500 and giving me peace of mind. Much gratitude for this shop!!

The appointment consisted of tire rotation and two slow leaks on left side of vehicle.
Upon torquing lug nuts, technician did not set torque wrench to proper spec required and resulted in overtorquing and breaking the first lug nut. I waited 35 minutes for Lordco to deliver required part.
Technician should have double checked the setting of wrench in proper lighting or unshaded area if unable to see the setting properly. Poor judgement on his part. There were no mention on their part to check the torque after 50 kms. but I will do this myself.
Otherwise, the work started on time as per the appointment and would have been of short duration as usual.
Thankyou
