My daughter had her first seasonal swap at Kal Tire, she came home saying "They are all so nice!". Thank you Jadan, John (you will be missed) and Ken! I am always impressed by the staff at Kal Tire, they are professional and ALWAYS so friendly. Even though it is a crazy, busy time for tires, they take the time to answer your questions. Highly recommend! Now, time to shop for the son's tires :)

We were on our way to catch a ferry when the low pressure tire warning indicator came on. I check the tires and found a screw in the right rear tire. We called ahead at 3:30 PM. The Duncan store was very busy, but said they would fit us in. We didn't want to to postpone our trip to another day because we had plans we didn't want to cancel. We were extremely grateful that the staff squeezed us in. We were able to book a later ferry and keep our plans for the following day. The staff we dealt with were professional staff and got us on the road very quickly. Well done.

The experience was great until I physically entered the store and had to deal with the Kaltire representative.

I ordered my tires on line and booked an appointment at my nearest Kaltire location. The online booking was great and the ability to select my desired tires was very easy. I had dropped off my car the evening prior and left my key in the drop box which wasn't an issue. I had left a note on the envelope that contained my key; asking the store to contact me prior to starting the job. As hoped the store contacted me prior to starting the job and we discussed what they were going to do. I had mentioned to the Kaltire rep on the phone that I had a corporate VIP discount and she advised me to bring a copy of the letter for them to view. When I went to the store to pick up my car I presented the VIP discount letter and the fella there kept stating that I received my tires at a good price and there was no need to use the letter. I mentioned the 10% discount was intended to be applied to the invoice as detailed in the letter but the fella kept ignoring me and wouldn't even entertain looking at the letter. Frustrated I paid, and left.
I have been in the transportation business for better than 30 years. I have worked with Kaltire while in the military, employed with BC Ambulance, BC Transit and now GFL Environmental. I have arranged VIP company discount for all of these companies that I have worked for and promoted and distributed these letters company wide. Not to over dramatize this but in essence I feel that I personally endorsed Kaltire to my collogues and if this is the experience that I received, I want to prevent others from the same. Again 10% isn't a deal breaker however if a customer has an expectation and feels ignored at the store and turned away, then I think Kaltire has lost far more than honoring a corporate 10% discount. Its about the experience not the savings.

I was more than a hour late because of a ferry delay, phoned to let them know and was met with great courtesy and told it might take a bit longer but they’d fit me in. In the end it was only 30 minutes longer and I was away on time. Unfortunately the ferry going back was running late and not fit for purpose so I was stuck in a line for two and a half hours. BC Ferries should employ Duncan Kaltire to run its service …
