Spruce Grove families can now enjoy a safe, accessible outdoor space.
The Prescott Learning Centre saw a need in their community to build a safe, inclusive outdoor space that would improve the health and well-being of families. The projects main goal was to replace the inaccessible wood chips with a durable, long-lasting surface that everyBODY can use.
“The Play for EveryBODY committee has fundraised to be the first fully accessible school playground in Spruce Grove. We have completely rubberized the layground in bright blue and green matting and would love for you to celebrate this milestone with us! It will be a great way to see how accessibility cultivates community for EveryBODY.”

Why Choose Rubber Flooring?
Rubberized flooring protects children by lessening the impact of a fall, it’s resistant to spills and moisture, it’s slip-resistant, can withstand high volumes of foot traffic and is a sustainable solution due to its long lifespan.
Kal’s RePlay Fund provides funds to enhance community spaces such as indoor play areas with recycled rubber flooring surfaces and more. With revitalized, safe and inclusive places to gather and stay active, together we’re promoting healthy, thriving communities.
Since 2019, Kal Tire has helped recycle millions of pounds of rubber to build inclusive spaces.
Kal Tire is proud to support projects across Canada that foster healthy interactions for all ages. Prescott Learning Centre received $20,000, which partially funded the rubber surface. Approximately 43,000 kg of rubber was recycled to pour the rubber surface.
“We were really grateful for everything the Kal Tire team has done for us to make this project happen. The playground grand opening was wildly successful! It truly means the world to us! We can’t wait for our community to see a playground accessible to everyBODY.
