MINIMUM QUANTITY REQUIRED

You've selected less than 4 tires for a tire type that requires all tires to be within a similar tread depth range. Once your tires are inspected in-store, you may be required to replace more than the quantity you've selected.

It's important for your safety when driving in winter conditions.

The X-ICE Xi2 is one of Michelin's best snow and ice tires for light trucks and SUVs thanks to the FleX-Ice silica-based winter tread rubber compound that's both flexible for ideal road contact in colder temps and firm for stability when the weather gets warmer. The directional tread pattern combined with a deep centre groove prevent hydroplaning, and the micro-pumps and Cross Z-Sipes aid in packed snow and ice traction.

?Summer vs Winter Tests

BRAKING

We varied our approach speeds by driving surface and by season for two reasons. First, this represents how most Canadians would normally drive on that surface in each season. Second, testing in both seasons provides an indication of how a tire's performance will be affected by road temperature.

CORNERING

To understand how road surface temperatures affect the cornering performance of a tire, our cornering tests are completed in both summer conditions (dry and wet pavement, and gravel roads) and winter conditions (dry, wet and icy pavement). Please note that slush is also tested but completed in a specific slush cornering test..

?Independent & Objective Testing

The independent tire testers conducted extensive tests to determine how the tires in our core line-up perform in a range of conditions in both summer and winter. To maintain neutrality, no driver knew the specifics of the tires they were testing each time. All results were analyzed and processed by the testing group and then provided to Kal Tire for sharing with our customers.

Michelin Latitude X-ICE XI2 Tires
5
3 weeks ago by Tom.

I had these tires put on my 2017 F-150 XLT in February, before heading on a trip through BC. After facing varying conditions from dry to wet pavement, and packed snow and ice, I have no complaints with how the Michelin Latitude X-ICE XI2 tire has held up. I'm happy with my purchase and looking forward to using these the next several winters.

New Michelin tires

I have had my Michelin winter tires on for about 1 1/2 months and I’m very happy with them. They have performed great in some snowy conditions and also a bit of mountain driving. They are also very quiet.
