Buffing

Buffing removes the old, worn tread design. The Bandag buffer works like a lathe, truing your inflated casing with utmost precision. That means a smooth-running which will satisfy the most demanding driver. It will also reduce vehicle maintenance in the long run.

The buffer is calibrated by lasers to the make and model specifications for each tire. Unlike some competitors, this process involves tread depth sensors, which buff the tire to an exact measurement above the belt casing of 2-3/32", assuring you a retread tire with the exact dimensions and size as if bought new.
