TIRE MANAGEMENT SERVICES PROGRAM

The tire maintenance process is probably the most important component of a tire management system.

Kal Tire's tire management service is divided into 3 Tools of Cost Assessment and is unmatched by any other dealer in the industry. They include:

1. Fleet Survey Analysis

The fleet survey and analysis (TMT Survey) is the information received from a physical inspection of the fleet combined with cost data and industry standards. It provides:
• A customized picture of the current condition of your tire program
• Indicates areas where immediate repairs or long term improvements can be made
• A benchmark to monitor the progress of your tire maintenance program.

Above is an example of a TMT Survey Summary Report:
By performing these inspections year after year, the TMT Survey becomes a part of a continuous improvement process. The survey creates a financial model to guide us to the areas to concentrate on. By setting goals, based on the survey, we work as partners with you; to keep your Total Tire Cost Per Mile under control.

We like to perform this service for you on an annual basis so we can measure from one year to the next, how effective your Tire Management Program is.

2. Cost Tracking

This is a discretionary service and can be offered to our clients at no charge. It involves tracking specific tires for mileage and wear. Once the tires have reached the wear out stage a computerized graph is provided displaying the cost per kilometer or cost per hour achieved. This service can be particularly helpful in determining which tire offers the lowest operating cost per kilometer or cost per hour.

3. Out-Of-Service Tire Analysis (Scrap Tire Analysis)

This service involves gathering and submitting all out of service tires and sending them to the nearest Kal Tire retread plant for analysis.

By inspecting the Out-of-Service pile, Kal Tire can identify the factors that have caused the tires to be removed from service. These factors may be a symptom of an isolated problem or they may indicate a major trend. Identifying these trends will help your company to correct the underlying problems and reduce your tire costs. While no tire lasts forever, we are dedicated to keeping a tire in service as long as possible. Our target is a "lower cost per mile" for your fleet.
