The tire is then brought over to the matrix. Once inside the matrix, the tire is inflated to 180psi and the new tread design is embedded into the tire using a metal mold on the inside of the matrix that is heated to 270 degrees Fahrenheit. The tire is cured from the outside in. Once removed, the tire is cooled in a relaxed position.
